MLK Literary and Art Prompt

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke to the inequalities that people of color faced. He explained that we are all interconnected and the choice of one affect that of another. In his essay "Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” Dr. King said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere...Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly." If we don’t speak up and advocate for all people treated unfairly, it has a detrimental effect on us all.

Describe in writing or visual art what the quote means to you.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere...Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
